  • Biography/ Background

    Nina James is an educational leader and professional with extensive experience leading education and policy projects in diverse sectors.

    In the Department of Primary Industries and Regions SA, she led the design and implementation of a learning management system, managed an enterprise registered training organisation (RTO), designed and delivered corporate training, coordinated leadership development and organisational development policy, and facilitated the development of legislated natural resource management policy.

    In the Department for Education, she provided leadership development consultancy services to education directors, attained certification and led the delivery of Franklin Covey programs (including 7 Habits of Highly Effective Leaders) across the state, and designed and facilitated postgraduate leadership qualifications to school principals and kindergarten directors.

    At the University of Adelaide, Nina has worked on multiple projects as part of Learning Enhancement and Innovation (LEI) including designing extensive student internship resources and developing numerous online courses including the Introduction to MyUni Course, the Learning Analytics course and the Remote Teaching course to support the University transition to online during the Covid-19 pandemic. Nina has achieved certification as a Scrum Master, working in an Agile methodology to deliver quality outcomes for stakeholders. 

    As the Senior Learning Designer for the PACE Project Team, Nina led the establishment of processes and resources to support the design and development of new online short courses and micro-credentials. In partnership with PACE, LEI and Faculties, Nina's team developed the first suite of micro-credentials for the University of Adelaide.

    Nina currently leads the development of new and existing PACE programs, including custom programs, online short courses and micro-credentials, through partnering with diverse stakeholders, applying quality learning and teaching frameworks, and evaluating student outcomes.
