Electrical Engineering Project Exhibition

A free exhibition of final year projects and postgraduate research by students of the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. More than 25 undergraduate projects will be on display, including:
A bicycle lane traffic enforcer
A remote controlled airplane for weather radar measurements
An all-electric city car
A through-the-wall imaging radar
An investigation of DC powered houses
Non-imaging concentrators for solar radiation
An emergency locator device for emergency services personnel.
There will also be an exhibition of postgraduate research from the major research groups in the School.This exhibition offers an insight into the diversity of the School's programs and research.

Join the research team from the School of Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design for their annual colloquium. Learn about current projects and forthcoming publications. Current research focuses on sustainable urbanism, the historical and cultural interpretation of Asian and Middle Eastern architecture in the modern era, and design research and creative practice. This will be followed by a further discussion about emerging research opportunities and strategic collaborations to capitalise on the unique insights that design-thinking can enable within the wider academic and professional community.

The Environment Institute and the Institute for Mineral and Energy Resources present a talk by Jim Poss (Founder and Chief Technology Officer at BigBelly Solar, who is a globally recognised inventor and entrepreneur) on current opportunities for energy efficiency. This will be follow by the Centre for Energy and Technology presenting about how the research undertaken at the University of Adelaide and their research centres is impacting the future of energy efficiency in Australia, with particular reference to Adelaide Airport.
