Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Adelaide Executive Dean's Public Lecture Series presents: Health Issues in Two Disadvantaged Communities

The mainly indigenous population of the Kimberley area of northern WA is separated from the people of Ermera district of Timor Leste by the Timor Sea, which is the subject of a sovereignty dispute between the governments of Australia and East Timor. The two communities share the problem of social and economic disadvantage. While there are similarities between the public health problems in each community there are also some areas of contrast. In this presentation Dr Gun will compare and contrast the public health concerns of the two communities.
