Cultural Celebration - End of Year Picnic

Come and celebrate the end of another year of cultural activities with University Collections. Please join us for our Cultural Celebration picnic on Monday 19 November 2018, from 6.00 pm until dusk on the Lawn by Gate 13 (off Kintore Avenue) North Terrace Campus, The University of Adelaide.

The event is free everyone is welcome. BYO a picnic dinner or pre-order a picnic basket. Non-alcoholic refreshments and wine will be provided. As we are on the grass, BYO rug or chair and sun protection. Comfortable clothes and closed-in shoes are advised.

This year we celebrate Adelaide landscape designer Elsie Cornish (1870 - 1946) who was employed between 1929 and 1946 to establish and maintain gardens on the lower campus. Clare Murphy, University Collections volunteer and tour guide, has researched the development of this garden and will present an overview of the garden before taking a tour to point out key elements of this inspirational gardening initiative.

Picnic baskets by The Caterers can be ordered in advance - $26.00 per basket, see Eventbrite for more details. Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options are available. Please order your picnic basket by 12.00 noon Tuesday 13 November 2018.
