"Did you ever think you'd come back from your splendid life, walk into your living room and find you had no life left?"
Imagine being a world-renowned architect who has been commissioned to design a multi-billion dollar city. Imagine having a beautiful, loving wife and an inquisitive and vibrant son. Now imagine destroying all of this in one afternoon.
It's Martin's fiftieth birthday and his journalist friend Ross is conducting a TV interview on Martin's tremendous career. Martin should be happy, but he's hiding a secret that will tear his family apart and ruin his life of success.
The Theatre Guild returns to Albee following the recent critically acclaimed productions of 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?' and 'Three Tall Women'. 'The Goat or Who is Sylvia?' is razor sharp, bitingly funny, irreverent and poignant as it takes the audience on an absurd, mercurial journey, challenging us to reassess our prejudices and perceptions whilst addressing issues we may not be ready to discuss.
Witness Martin's demise, all from the comfort of his flawlessly designed living room.
Cast: Rachel Burfield, Peter Davies, Gary George and Benjamin Quirk
