For this session we are collaborating with HERDSA for a presentation titled - Improving Retention and Student Engagement Using Gamified Mobile Technology. Presented by Grainne Oates, Wendy James and Nikki Schonfeldt CA PhD FHEA.

This webinar will detail significant improvement in student engagement and retention between users and non-users of a gamified mobile application (GMA) for first year accounting students in line with the recently published paper - Improving Retention While Enhancing Student Engagement and Learning Outcomes Using Gamified Mobile Technology.  The research detailed in this webinar found that users of GMA were more engaged with the learning material, their teachers, and their peers, with improved learning outcomes which motivated a significant number of students to persist with their studies.
