Roseworthy Cattle and Sheep Yards

The 1960s cattle and sheep yards at Roseworthy campus have been redesigned and rebuilt to provide superior teaching and research facilities for the School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences.

Roseworthy Cattle Yard

The new undercover facilities support effective hands-on training with livestock and allow for a more comfortable learning environment for staff and students under a wider range of weather conditions.

  • Major refurbishment of the Roseworthy cattle and sheep yards, crush area, pens, and main teaching area.
  • A 50m x 60m roof over the cattle yards and a 37m x 27m roof over the sheep yards.
  • All new sheep and cattle yard equipment and fencing.
  • Improved drainage and site water run-off.
  • Upgraded lighting, power, communications and fire services.
