Mail & Couriers

Australia Post and Team Global Express provide mail and courier services for the University of Adelaide.

Mail is received in centralised mail rooms at each campus. The North Terrace mailroom is on the ground floor of the Confucius Institute in the Kenneth Wills Building. 

Each school or department (mail cost centre) has nominated representatives who can dispatch and collect mail at the mail room between 9:30am and 11:00am weekdays. Once signed for, the representative is responsible for storing the mail and ensuring its distribution. To set up a departmental representative please email Damon Golledge.

University mail is automatically sent using the Australia Post REGULAR service. If a PRIORITY service is required, items must be separated and clearly labelled.

Please have personal parcels delivered to your home address.

Mailroom Relocation

The University mailroom is relocating to a temporary mailroom in Darling G25 from Monday 22 September 2025.

This change is part of a broader initiative to expand the AU Security team and establish a new Security front office. The new location has been chosen for its improved accessibility and upgraded facilities, which will include greater privacy for confidential conversations and enhanced CCTV monitoring to support the safety and wellbeing of the campus community.

  • Internal mail

    Internal mail can be sent to any University of Adelaide department or site, and also to the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH), The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH), Women’s & Children’s Hospital (WCH) and Lyell McEwin Hospital (LMH).

    All internal mail should be addressed accordingly:

  • Courier services

    To book a Team Global Express Courier, quote your account number and department:

    Call 13 15 31 for interstate and overnight metro services. Alternatively, book or track a job through the Team Global Express website.

  • Bulk mail services

    The University mailroom can provide bulk mail services to assist with large mail outs for jobs up to 5,000 letters. Services include:

    • Folding and inserting
    • Pick and Pack for larger letters and marketing material
    • Letter addressing and bulk mail preparation
    • Mail lodgement and bulk parcel dispatch
    • International destination mail outs including customs requirements
    • Form letter printing with mail merge

    In most instances an electronic copy should be sent in lieu of a hard copy.

  • Dangerous goods transportation
