Turretfield Research Enclosure

A new research enclosure facilitates the development of a GM field phenotyping facility and enables researchers and partners to participate in frontline projects in the GM arena. 

The enclosure facilitates grain research by the University of Adelaide and SARDI, with potential for use by other external entities.

Features

Stage 1 of the project involved construction of a bird-proof enclosure to help avoid the unwanted spread of genetically modified material outside of the facility, and a secure animal proof perimeter fence.

Stage 2 of the project involves construction of a washdown bay within the enclosure, waste treatment and disposal area, and a shed to store farm equipment.
