Integrative Bioimaging Facility

A new facility for Adelaide Microscopy that allows for specialisation in optical microscopy and live biological imaging.

The University of Adelaide Molecular Life Sciences Building exterior

The new facility offers optical microscopy for imaging animal cells under biological conditions, and advanced light microscopy, allowing super-resolution imaging for both live and fixed samples.

This project responds to the growing need for specialised, open access facilities and equipment, predominantly for the Faculties of Science, ECMS and Health & Medical Sciences. It allows for enhanced collaborative research and teaching within the Masters of Biotechnology course, and supports investment and co-location outcomes in the adjacent Centre for Imaging for Life Facility.
