Nexus 10 AI/VR Hub
A one-of-a-kind commercialisation hub for the Faculty of ABLE will showcase Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtual Reality (VR) research capability and conduct commercial marketing interface functions.

Project detail
An underutilised student area on the ground floor of Nexus 10 will be repurposed to deliver an immersive, purpose-built AI/VR Laboratory that can be utilised by a range of compatible research activities.
The project includes creation of distinct zones within the Hub, including:
- Open space VR/AI area where most demonstration and research activities will occur.
- An open-plan “developer” workspace that adjoins the VR/ AI area.
- Meet and greet corner adjoining the large area, with privacy film.
As well as improving and enhancing AR/VR teaching and research capability and improving the staff and student experience, the project has potential to increase engagement with industry and attract high-profile visitors to improve visibility of research capabilities.
Expected completion is July 2025.
