Introduction to University Teaching: ADEPT Workshop

This introductory zoom workshop is designed for those who are new to teaching, or those teachers who are new to the University of Adelaide. The focus of this workshop is centred around student-centred learning environments, active learning, feedback, assessment and interactive presentation strategies (for small and large classes). It will also enable you to begin the development of your teaching philosophy through reflective practice. It will also serve as an introduction to the University of Adelaide's learning and teaching initiatives and more importantly give you some new ideas and skills to use in your classes to effectively engage your students.

Assessment for Learning: ADEPT Workshop

Assessment is a powerful tool for student learning. In this zoom ADEPT module you will engage with evidence-based, good practice principles for effective and efficient assessment design and apply them to your teaching context. You will identify how assessments can be aligned with the Universal Design for Learning Principles to ensure inclusive learning experiences for a diverse student cohort. You will design scaffolded assessments that provide the formative feedback needed for student success.

Information session for Nominated Staff - Stephen Cole the Elder Awards for Excellence

Staff who have received a nomination are encouraged to attend the 1 hour information session, as it will assist them in assessing their readiness to write a submission by the 2020 deadline (Monday 12 October).

The workshop will be held on zoom and will be recorded for those who are unable to attend however, attendance is strongly recommended as you will have an opportunity to ask questions and speak with other applicants and previous recipients.
