North Terrace Campus
The historic core of the University of Adelaide, the North Terrace campus has a wealth of functional and unique event spaces.
With beautiful heritage-listed buildings located alongside state-of-the-art contemporary learning and teaching spaces, the North Terrace campus offers a range of unique event spaces. Gardens and other outdoor areas are also available for bookings.

The North Terrace campus has a wide range of bookable lecture theatres suitable for general public events and conferences of all sizes. The rooms below can be booked by staff and students for University events at no cost.
Room specifications
- Standard AV equipment: PC, projector, screens and microphones.
- High resolution presentation screen with VGA/HDMI input and audio jack.
- Zoom teleconferencing capability.
- Breakout spaces available.
Special conditions
- No food or drink (bottled water permitted) to be consumed in lecture theatres.
- Please organise a foyer or breakout space for any catering planned for your event.
- Theatre to be left neat and tidy upon the completion of the event.

Special conditions
- Marquees must be weighted and never pegged. Pegging can cause damage to the underground irrigation system.
- Vehicles (forklifts, trucks, etc) may not drive on the lawns unless special permission has been provided.
- If a BBQ is used, a fat catcher must be placed underneath to prevent damage to the lawns.

Hub Central has six spaces available for booking (main hall, mezzanine, western courtyard, eastern couryard and Elder courtyard) by University departments and affiliated organisations. Learn more.

Barr Smith Library
The Barr Smith Library has a range of study spaces available to book, including study booths, listening booths and meeting rooms. Also available for booking is the Ira Raymond Exhibition Room.
