High Use Collection
The High Use Collection contains High Use items that are in high demand. They have a short loan period to ensure that all students are able to access course-related books when needed.
The High Use Collection is located on Level 3 of the Barr Smith Library and behind the Ask Library service point at the branch libraries. High Use items (which are books that have been recommended by lecturers, or that appear on course reading lists) are located in the High Use Collection.
High Use items are available for 3-hour loans during the day, and you can borrow up to two High Use items at any one time. If you need the book for a longer period of time you can borrow it for an extra 3 hours providing no one else has booked it.
High Use items are also available to borrow overnight, if borrowed 3 hours before library closing time. If you borrow a High Use item overnight you will need to return it by 9:00 AM Monday - Friday or by the next opening time on weekends.
Booking Requests are also available for High Use items, and these can be made up to 3 weeks in advance of the time that you need the book. Bookings can be made via Library Search or by contacting Ask Library. Booked items need to be collected within 30 minutes of the booking time.
Please contact Ask Library if you would like more information on the High Use Collection or its items.
