This year marks the 50th anniversary of the decriminalisation of homosexuality in South Australia. As the first state in Australia to reach this milestone, the reform was hard-won, requiring years of sustained effort and support from the community and political advocates.

Borrow an iPad at the self-service unit

Self-service unit

Students can now borrow iPads from the Self-Service Unit on Level 3 of the Barr Smith Library. Available 24/7, this service provides flexible access to technology whenever you need it. If no iPads are available, please contact Ask Library during opening hours to check availability.

Barr Smith Library open 24/7 during building works

Barr Smith Library Level 1 entrance

The Library is about to undergo a long-anticipated air conditioning and lighting upgrade, beginning Wednesday 13 August. During these works, the Library’s 24/7 Level 3 study spaces will be unavailable. However, the good news is that we’re extending our opening hours for students and staff in an effort to reduce disruption.
