Automatic publication claiming in Aurora

In order to reduce the amount of manual claiming/rejecting of records in Aurora, we have introduced Automatic publication claiming.

Our researchers work together.

Aurora examines all the identifiers (e.g. Scopus ID, ORCiD or email) listed in your publications and will suggest frequently encountered identifiers to you on the Automatic publication claiming page.
Sometimes these identifiers may belong to collaborators or people with a similar name to yours (especially if you have a lot of pending publications).

You can find the suggested identifiers by clicking on Menu > Automatic claiming.

If you are unsure which identifiers belong to you, click the hyperlink on each identifier and check the details listed on the profile.

When you are confident the identifier belongs to you, click Yes to automatically claim all publications associated with that identifier.

Where you have an identifier suggested that doesn’t belong to you, there are two options – No or Ignore.

If the identifier is likely to belong to a collaborator of yours (i.e. you share a number of claimed publications in Aurora) then it is safest to click Ignore for that identifier.

If an identifier is suggested that has no relation to you and doesn’t belong to a collaborator (usually when there is a large pending list matching names similar to yours),
then it may be preferable to click No and Aurora will automatically reject publications associated with that identifier.
