Open Education Week

It’s time to learn about open education! Running between 6 - 10 March 2023 and organised by Open Education Global (OEGlobal), Open Education Week is an opportunity to learn all about open educational resources (OERs).

OERs are learning and teaching materials than anyone can freely use, share, and adapt, making education more equitable, responsive, and inclusive.

The Library supports and advocates for the use, adoption, and creation of OERs. Learn all about OERs and how you can use them in your teaching on the Open Educational Resources webpage. Begin by watching the recording of a webinar we hosted during Open Access Week, in which a panel of current practitioners shared their experience using and creating OERs.

Very soon, we will form a community of practice for University of Adelaide academics, librarians, learning designers, and other support staff to collaborate, learn, and share their experience with OERs. Register your interest in joining the OER community of practice now and you will be the first to hear when we announce a program of events.

Want to learn more about OERs this Open Education Week? The University of Technology Sydney are hosting a series of webinars every day, where you can learn from a variety of Australian and international academics.

You can also browse OERGlobal’s full schedule of international Open Education Week events. With over 100 events from a variety of countries and institutions, covering a broad range of topics, you’re sure to learn something new.

To learn how the Library can help you find, use, or create OERs, contact the Library’s Academic Liaison team by emailing liaisonlibs@adelaide.edu.au
