CaRST has partnered with AdelaideX to offer online courses in project management, risk management, and entrepreneurship to HDRs for free.
AdelaideX is the massive open online course (MOOC) division of the University of Adelaide creating high-quality online courses for edX. Under this partnership, HDRs can now enrol in approved AdelaideX MOOCs and receive a certificate of completion valid for CaRST credit at no additional cost.
HDR students can select from the following courses:
Introduction to Project Management
Project management is an essential skill-set for many careers and in many contexts in our lives.
Introduction to Project Management is an ideal starting point if you need to manage projects at work or at home, while not necessarily being a formally trained project manager. It is also suitable if you are considering undertaking a project in the near future and are seeking to learn and apply essential project management knowledge and skills.
In Introduction to Project Management, you will learn practical ways to use project management skills, whether your project is large or small. Join us to explore how you can benefit from using project management techniques in your own projects
For more information, visit the Introduction to Project Management course page.
HDR students can find access instructions on the ADLX3 activity page in CaRST Online.
Risk Management for Projects
Risk management is a process used for the identification, assessment and analysis of potential risks to an organization or project. This process enables you to develop the most appropriate risk response.
In the Risk Management for Projects course, you will learn the fundamentals of risk management, as well as how to apply a risk management process in a project-based setting. Risk management is an iterative process and you will learn how adopting key procedures can help you maximize opportunities and minimize negative impact on your project objectives.
Risk Management for Projects builds on risk management for projects introduced in the course: Introduction to Project Management MOOC
