Possingham Research Supplementary Scholarship in Environmental Sustainability

The Possingham Supplementary Scholarship supports Higher Degree by Research students studying in the area of environmental sustainability. Environmental sustainability is defined in the broadest possible sense, and is open to applicants from any discipline (including but not exclusive to: engineering, law, mathematics, all the sciences, the social sciences and the arts) as long as the work has the potential to deliver a positive environmental outcome. Applications open on 8 April 2024 and close on 17 May 2024.

Major scholarship - $46,653 p.a. - PhD

This scholarship is available to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students undertaking research aimed at addressing current priority public health issues in South Australia (e.g. Health Promotion, Food Safety, Water Safety, Disease Surveillance, Climate Change).

Supplementary scholarship - $30,000 p.a. - PhD

Funded by Rotary, the University of Adelaide and SAHMRI, this scholarship provides funding for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students researching the prevention and reduction of the burden of chronic disease in Aboriginal communities through best-practice research.
