Awards for Adelaide Dental School
Adelaide Dental School had a double win in a National Research Competition. The Australia/New Zealand Division of the International Association for Dental Oral and Craniofacial Research (IADR) held their annual conference in Sydney last week where students competed for the Colgate Research Awards. Adelaide Dental School had successes in both the Junior and Senior categories of this competition.

She will now go on to represent the Australia/New Zealand Division in the International Hatton Research Competition at the IADR General Session in New Orleans in March.
Vanessa Burns, a final year honours student, (supervised by A/Prof Peter Zilm and Prof Paula Moynihan), won runner up in the Junior Colgate Competition for her presentation on "Nitrate reduction by oral species and implications on cardiovascular health", and has secured a complimentary trip to the IADR General Session in New Orleans.
